Enjoyed our dinner with a view! All of our food was excellent. Ordered a salad, meatballs, and a pizza. Kitchen service was on the slower side but the restaurant was very busy. Our server, Cat, was incredibly attentive, friendly and kind. We enjoyed chatting with her! We stayed downtown and Embassy Suites is a bit on the edge of downtown but the walk to the edge of downtown was worth it!
Just arrived across the street at the Indigo after a much-delayed flight and just wanted a beer and something quick. Glad we stopped in to Soprana for a pizza and a beer. They have a limited menu, but we only wanted a good pizza anyway and we’re not disappointed. Typical of Asheville, they have a lot of inventive pizza choices. We asked our bartender, Lincoln, if we could just have a good old pepperoni and sausage pizza. He said absolutely. BTW, he is a really good bartender. Anyway, the pizza was exceptional. It is a Neapolitan-style crust, which is our favorite: chewy, thin on the bottom with charred edges, done perfectly. No skimpy toppings on this pizza, and the sausage was exceptional. As you can tell from the photo, everything is upscale. We have never seen hand-grated Parmesan for the pizza rather than the Kraft shaker type. Then to top it off, the view of the mountains from the 7th floor is spectacular.
Highly recommend. Meatballs - delicious. Pizza-delicious. Everything -outstanding. Kyndall was absolutely incredible! From the amazing service to the top notch recommendations, she brought her A game the entire time!!!
came here last night for the first time with a little bit of a bigger group and it was amazing ! megan our server was attentive, friendly and gave amazing recommendations! she kept our drinks full and she really made sure we were having a great time. every person in our group was happy and full when we left. we had a bunch of different pizzas and every single one was delicious. we will definitely be returning with our guests in the future!
Soprana was better than expected! Great view of Asheville from the 7th floor. The pizzas are amazing (the fig and prosciutto pizza is the reason we will be back) and the drink choices pair well with the vibe. Two smallish but delicious pizzas and two glasses of wine cost about 70, so it is a special occasion place for us. But you can count on us being back and telling friends to check it out. Cheers!
Absolutely STUNNING decor and rooftop view. There are bench tables, classic tables, and lounge areas for you to enjoy. The florals and umbrellas outside are such a nice addition, and the inside decor is just gorgeous. The service was wonderful and so were the staffs’ recommendations. The music was also a wonderful addition. Somewhat limited but delicious food menu, but my pizza was pretty charred (only reason for my star deduction). Bathrooms were pretty and clean.
10/10 Italian restaurant! Came here for a dinner and was greeted with a warm and lively ambiance. We ordered the buratta which was luscious and creamy which also came with a focaccia. We paired that with the meatballs to round out our appetizers. Meatballs were tender and flavorful. We got a margherita pizza and the sausage rigatoni and were left speechless. The pizza was super savory and the cheese and sauce melted in your mouth, while the dough was cooked to perfection and had some crispiness. The pasta was unreal, the rigatoni was actually stuffed with ricotta, layered with spicy Italian sausage, and topped off with seasoned breadcrumbs. I've never encountered such a creative pasta, most places just do a simple pink sauce with their rigatoni. This was truly next level. We finished off with the affogato which is served with these cookies/biscuits that pair so well with the delicious espresso and gelato. Portions were great here, we left stuffed and felt like we got our money's worth! Ambiance and atmosphere was great. So glad I found this place and will be back anytime I'm in Asheville.
This place really is such a vibe, especially during sunset and after sunset. The service was incredible and was able to get my drinks and food on time very quickly with great recommendations on the food provided by the waiter. The food if you look at the pictures are just amazing presentation and very good. Highly recommend the meatball pizza in the appetizer. I just don’t know the name of what it was called.
